Recommendation:
By minute motion, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No.
058approving Tract Map 25296-9.
Discussion:
Tract 25296-9 is located east of Highway 74 and south of Indian Hills Way within the
Canyons at Bighorn Development. The map provides for the creation of six residential
lots, a private street, landscape and drainage lots within 7.49 acres. The tentative map
was approved by the City Council at the meeting of June 26, 1997 as Resolution No.
97-51 and does not expire until June 26, 2007.
Those conditions of approval related to the map have been satisfied with previous map
approvals/filings within Canyons at Bighorn. This map conforms to the requirements of
the Subdivision Map Act and City ordinances. The traffic circulation within this map is
the same as the tentative map; however, the number of residential lots has been
reduced from nine to six. Fewer lots on a final map than what the associated tentative
map showed has been typically deemed substantially the same as, or in conformance
with, the tentative map. The approved grading plan lot elevations also conform to
those elevations shown in tabulated form on the tentative map.

RESOLUTION NO. 0582
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
DESERT, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FINAL SUBDIVISION MAP
OF TRACT NO. 25296-9.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of Palm Desert,
California, as follows:
(1) The Final Subdivision Map of Tract 25296-9, City of Palm Desert,
California is hereby approved as the official subdivision map of said
tract, subject to conditions of the Tentative Map.
(2) The City Engineer is directed to process the Final Map for recording
upon receipt of the payment of all fees.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Palm Desert, California, on this 13h day of October, 2005, by the following vote,
