BACKGROUND During the renovation at Mesa View Fire Station No. 67, asbestos was discovered in the flooring mastic and mold infestation was present in the main office and tool room. As this discovery had a potential health safety impact to the existing station and construction crews, the City Manager authorized the immediate mitigation of the mold and asbestos. The City Council is requested to ratify the City Manager's approval of this mitigation work.
