By Minute Motion, appoint Elyssa Goldberg to the Board of Directors for the El
Paseo Business Improvement District.
Executive Summary:
Appointment of Ms. Goldberg, owner of BG's Eclectic, to the Board will fill the vacant position left
by Susan Stauber, formerly of St John.
Discussion:
During the May 18, 2006 meeting of the El Paseo Business Improvement District, it was approved
unanimously to recommend to the City Council the appointment of Elyssa Goldberg to the Board
of Directors. Ms. Goldberg is the owner of BG's Eclectic which has been open since 1989. She
has an extensive retail background growing up with parents that owned women's apparel stores
in Sacramento. As a graduate from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in fine arts, she is responsible
for all advertising, public relations and events for her business.
Elyssa has not only attended the required two meetings prior to application, but assisted with
Fashion Week on El Paseo and the day long budget planning session with the Board.
There were no other applicants for the position at this time. Therefore, staff recommends the
appointment of Elyssa Goldberg to the El Paseo Business Improvement District's Board of
Directors.
