Director of Public Works March 9, 2006 Resolution By minute motion, adopt Resolution No. 06-32 authorizing a$200.00 petty cash fund for the Corporation Yard. Discussion: With eighteen employees now located at the Corporation Yard, these staff members have a significant need for petty cash distributions to obtain miscellaneous small items. Providing the Corporation Yard its own petty cash fund would reduce the amount of travel back and forth to City Hall to obtain reimbursements. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A PETTY CASH FUND UNDER THE SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF THE CORPORATION YARD MAINTENANCE SERVICES MANAGER Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Palm Desert as follows: 1. There is hereby created a petty cash fund under the supervision and control of the Corporation Yard Maintenance Services Manager in the amount of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for the purpose of meeting immediate cash needs of the City of Palm Desert. 2. Said petty cash fund is on a reimbursement basis with all disbursements made only upon the receipt of a properly executed petty cash voucher reflecting the signature of the person receiving the funds and the purpose of the expenditure.
