EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION — MONTH OF OCTOBER, 2007
Attached is a list of employees who will receive an Employee Recognition Award for the
month of October, 2007. They will be recognized at the City Council meeting on December
13, 2007. A letter of congratulations has been sent to them requesting their attendance at the
Council meeting.
Each one will be recognized for their achievement and a gift card will be awarded to them.

REASON FOR RECOGNITION
Service Above and Beyond for exceptional
customer service and assistance she provided to
visitors at the Visitor Information Center. The
visitors were impressed with her knowledge of
Palm Desert and the surrounding community, and
wrote a letter of appreciation for the outstanding
service they received.
Innovation — Cost Savings, Improved Efficiency,
Improved City Image. The Desert Bicycle Club
requested improvements to the signal at Country
Club and Tamarisk Row to make it easier for
bicyclists to cross the intersection. Messrs.
Becerra, Contreras and Rosas installed a push
button for bicyclists to activate, and the process
was completed in less than one month. A letter of
appreciation from the Bicycle Club was received.
Service Above and Beyond for her participation
in a television interview highlighting Palm
Village. She conducted herself in a professional
manner and spoke about the specifics of the
City's newest affordable multi -family
development using her skills with a second
language.
Improved City linage for his participation in the
Desert Breezes soundwall project. A letter was
received from a resident acknowledging the
outstanding efforts of Mr. Greenwood, and
specifically stating that his communication skills
along with his knowledge of the project and
patience in dealing with the many personalities
made him a valuable asset to our Palm Desert
community.
Improved City Image for providing outstanding
customer service. Ms. Szymanski was
recognized in an article by the University Center
for Developmental Disabilities at Cal State San
Bernardino for assistance provided on a project.
