ADMINISTRATIVE CONFERENCE ROOM CALL TO ORDER Chairman Elliott Smith called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. II. APPROVAL OF THE NOVEMBER 7, 2006, MEETING MINUTES a 0 w w 0 x w U Upon a motion by Member Raine Armstrong and second by Member Christina Sun, minutes of the November 7, 2006, meeting minutes were approved as presented. Motion carried by unanimous vote. IV. NEW BUSINESS A. PRESENTATION BY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR MARK GREENWOOD RELATIVE TO HIGH SCHOOL TRAFFIC Public Works Director Mark Greenwood made a presentation relative to traffic flow with regard to the High School expansion/improvements. He asked the Committee to review the plans and he would return to meet with them in February to discuss ideas and address concerns. APPROVED MINUTES PALM DESERT YOUTH COMMITTEE DECEMBER 5, 2006 B. PRESENTATION BY ELIZABETH ROMERO WITH REGARD TO JOINT YOUTH COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES Elizabeth Romero and Noel Lockrin from Supervisor Roy Wilson's office addressed the Committee. They suggested that a representative from each Youth Committee in the Valley meet monthly to discuss joint projects, best practices, etc. Upon a motion by Member Kevin Park and second by Member Johnny Rohrbaugh the Committee voted to endorse the concept of participating in a Valley -wide Youth Committee modeled after CVAG committee structures. Motion carried by unanimous vote. V. CONTINUED BUSINESS A. JR/SR PROM Member Elle Wohlmuth suggested that Members address local Rotary clubs to sell tickets. Member Samantha Cortese suggested that representatives of the Committee also approach the City Council. Assignments will be made at the January meeting. Ms. Scully reminded everyone on the Committee, voting members and alternates, are expected to participate. Everyone should sign up to work on at least one committee for the Jr./Sr Prom. VI.
