Discussion:
The existing furniture within council offices area of City Hall was purchased over 20 years ago.
The furniture no longer serves the functions needed for each individual's storage and
workspace needs. Several offices need more filing and shelving storage, as well as larger work
surfaces to accommodate areas to work and hold computer equipment. Furniture layouts were
drawn and distributed for review by each Councilmember to evaluate the use of space in each
of their respective offices.
Staff has received approval of the drawn layouts, but would like direction to proceed with all or
some of the attached proposed categories of furnishings. These new furnishings will provide
adequate work space and storage, which the existing furnishings do not. The office furnishings
proposal is presented here for approval and procurement.
