Grance, Director of Building and Safety in behalf of the Building Department a formal proclamation observing Building & Safety Week, May 5-11, 2008. Background: The City of Palm Desert would like to join building departments across America to celebrate Building & Safety Week from May 5 through 11, 2008. First observed in 1980, Building & Safety Week seeks to raise public awareness of building and safety by promoting the use, enforcement, and understanding of building safety and fire prevention codes to protect lives and property.
