Recommendation:
By Minute Motion, Staff requests that the City Council refund Building Permit Fees in
the amount of $208.00 for Building Permit 08-00045010 for a project located at 42-480
lowa St.
Executive Summary:
On July 1, 2008, Building Permit Fees of $298.00 were paid by Ellen Lane Myers. On
November 1, 2008 the City received a request from Ellen Lane Myers requesting for a
refund of all permit fees from the Department of Building and Safety. Planning and
Microfilm Fees are Non-refundable.
Discussion:
The Refundable Building Permit Fees are as follows:
Building Permit Fee (80%) 260.00
Total Refundable Fee $208.00

Therefore, it is staff's recommendation to approve the refund of Building Permit Fees in
the amount of $208.00 to Ellen Lane Myers in accordance with Title 15.24.160 of the
Palm Desert Municipal Code. Funds are available in Account No. 110-0000-322.11-00.

I CHECKED AT THE CITY PLANNING OFFICE,AND I AM AWARE
THAT I WILL ONLY RECEIVE 80% OF MY ORIGINAL M01�1IES I PAID
FOR THIS PERMIT.
I AM SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS WILL CAUSE, BUT I
CANNOT AFFORD A NEW FIREPLACE AND GAS HOOK-UP FOR
THE NEW FIREPLACE AT THIS TIME.
