Wade Tucker and Questionnaire Recommendation: Subject to the interview to be conducted by Mayor Benson and Mayor Pro Tem Spiegel, by Minute Motion, appoint J. Wade Tucker to the Palm Desert Housing Commission to serve as one of its two Housing Authority Resident Members, filling the vacancy in the term of former member Linda Ward (term December 31, 2011). Discussion: As requested at the September 11, 2008, Meeting, Mayor Benson and Mayor Pro Tem Spiegel were appointed to interview Mr. Tucker for a potential appointment to the Housing Commission as one of its Housing Authority Resident Members. At the drafting of the September 25 agenda, staff was working to arrange a time for this interview. Subject to a successful result, the recommendation for appointment would be appropriate and respectfully requested. There is currently one more Resident Member vacancy on the Housing Commission, and staff is also actively recruiting applicants for this position with a term of December 31, 2010.
