The five Regional Units are the Eastern Region, Corona Region, Central Region, Southwest Region, and Riverside and Moreno Valley Region. The five Riverside County SAFE Team Regional Units will focus their efforts on proactive sexual offender monitoring, field audits and inspections of registrants and their address of record, surveillance of serial and violent offender types, non -compliant warrant sweeps, follow-up on sexual offenders who move into or out of the Riverside County jurisdiction to ensure registration requirements are met, fugitive apprehension, and group home monitoring and inspections. The Riverside County SAFE Team Mission Statement: The mission of the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (S.A.F.E.) Task Force, through the collaborative effort of multi -disciplined Riverside County law enforcement agencies, is to increase public awareness of sexual predators and significantly decrease sexually motivated crimes in the County of Riverside through monitoring, investigating, and prosecuting sex registrants pursuant to California Penal Code Section 290. They mentioned that they could keep it to about 5 minutes. The contact person is Lori Marquette. She can be contacted at 951.955.5666. It is my understanding that they will have several people there to do the presentation. They will give an over view of what the SAFE Team does and the presentation will include a power point presentation. The people I know who will be presenting will be Lori Marquette and Lori Stone. I will be out of town from August 18 through September 3, so any questions about this should be addressed through Lori Marquette. I apologize for not being to give you more information at this time. If we can get it on the agenda and I will check with you when I get back, that would be great.
