Recommendation
By Minute Motion: Refund Building Permit Fees in the amount of $242.40 for
permit 09-48363 for a project located at 77-270 Michigan Dr.
Backqround
On October 5, 2009, Building Permit fees of $168.00 were paid by Mr. Gavin Ardolino.
On November 30, 2009, additional fees in the amount of $310.75 were paid by Mr.
Gavin Ardolino. The City received a request from Mr. Ardolino for a refund of all permit
fees from the Department of Building and Safety. The following fees: Plan Check,
Microfilm, Job Valuation and Green Building (SB1473) fees are Non-refundable.
The Building Permit fee is refundable at a rate of 80% provided no work has been
performed and written application is filed by the permittee not later than 180 days after
the date of the fee payment.
The Refundable Building Permit Fees are as follows:
Building Permit Fee $303.00
Refunded Building Permit Fee (80%) $242.40

Dear Mr. Crrance,
This letter is to cancel the above stated permit and request a refund for fees paid. The fees
paid aze $168.00 for Plan Check on 10-OS-09, and additional Pernut Fees of$310.75 paid
on 11-30-09 totaling $478.75.
This permit cancellation is for the reason that the home owner une�ectedly changed her
mind. She no longer wants to complete this construction work.
We would appreciate a written response as soon as possible. We have completed a11 other
work for this home owner and we wish to close out this project.
