On May 19, Public Art Coordinator Deborah Schwartz, and Director of Community Development Lauri Aylaian attended a dinner in Riverside to accept the award on behalf of the City. Attached is a copy of the award notification letter. On behalf of the Awards Panel and the IES-APA Executive Board, I am pleased to inform you that your nomination has been awarded Category Winner. Please share our congratulations with the recipients! Each nomination was carefully reviewed by the Awards Panel and voted on based upon its merits with regard to the category criteria and in relationship to other applications submitted in the same category. For a listing of other Award recipients, please visit the Section website at http:/Iwww.ies-apa.orq. As the Category Winner, this nomination is eligible for submission to the California Chapter of the American Planning Association (CCAPA) for consideration of a State Award. The IES-APA does not automatically forward your application to the State. Please visit the CCAPA website at http://www.calapa.orq for all application submission requirements. This year the State application submission deadline is May 28, 2010. Included with this package is a signed Section Certification Letter, which enables your application to be submitted to the State. You and the project team are invited to attend the IES-APA Awards Program, which takes place on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Sevilla Restaurant in Riverside. Included is a copy of the Awards Program registration form. As Category Winner, one (1) complimentary Awards Program ticket is provided.
