Funds are available in General Fund Account No. 110-4611-453-3320, Repair/Maintenance Landscaping Services. Backqround On April 21, 2010, the City Clerk advertised and called for bids for Landscape Maintenance Area No. 16. On May 27, 2010, City Council awarded Contract No. C29540 to the lowest bidder, Vintage Associates, Inc. Staff has found that usage of the dog park facilities at Joe Mann Park, Freedom Park, and University Dog Park requires an additional two days of maintenance than what it is scheduled in the current contract. The additional work includes the power washing of the hardscape, picnic tables, and benches. As a result, a quote for the additional work was requested from the current contractor of LMA 16. Vintage Associates, Inc., submitted a proposal based on additional hours of work per the approved contract additional labor rate and staff finds the man hours quoted to be reasonable and fair. The Consultant shall perform all work as necessary or required to complete the Professional Service Amendment items for a lump sum price agreed upon between the Consultant and the City of Palm Desert, otherwise referred to as Owner.
