Pictures of Completed Artwork Recommendation By Minute Motion, approve the reimbursement of the Art in Public Places fee in the amount of $25,937.50 for "Journeys of the Imagination" by Gary Price, the public art component for EI Paseo Village located at 73-405, 73-425, and 73- 445 EI Paseo, Palm Desert, California. Funds are available in Account Number 436-0000-228-9900. Backqround The City Council approved "Journeys of the Imagination" as the public art component for EI Paseo Village on December 10, 2009. "Journeys of the Imagination" is a bronze sculpture of a boy riding a paper airplane. A smaller boy sits on the base at the sculpture listening to an iPod and looking at a laptop. The dimensions are 84" x 60" x 32". The artwork is placed in front of Suite 120 (73-425 EI Paseo) facing the street. The artwork has been completed and installed as proposed, and the developer is requesting the return of the fees paid into the fund in the amount of $25,937.50. The total cost of the artwork was $26,500.
