Box 310036 Fontana, CA 92331 DATE: April 14, 2011 CONTENTS: Notice of Completion Location Map Recommendation By Minute Motion, accept the work as complete and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for Contract No. C30080, 2011 Citywide Slurry Seal Project (Project No. 751-11). Background On September 9, 2010, City Council awarded Contract No. C30080 to American Asphalt South, Inc., of Fontana, California, in the amount of $1,061,850 for the construction of the 2011 Citywide Slurry Seal Project. Staff has inspected the work performed by the contractor and has found said work to be complete and in accordance with the contract requirements. The work was completed 15 percent under budget, but 32 days late. Liquidated damages were assessed against the contractor in accordance with the contract for a total of $32,000. Therefore, staff recommends that City Council, by Minute Motion, accept the work as complete and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project.
