Pictures of Completed Artwork Recommendation By Minute Motion, approve the reimbursement of the Art in Public Places fee in the amount of $91,038.50 for "Form in Flux - Cantamar" by Woods Davy, the public art component for Segovia at Palm Desert located at 39-905 Via Scena, Palm Desert, California. Funds are available in Account Number 436-0000- 228-9900. Background The City Council approved "Form in Flux - Cantamar" as the public art component for Segovia at Palm Desert on February 11, 2010. "Form in Flux - Cantamar" consists of two sets of sculptures, for a total of four, ranging in size from six to eight feet and consisting of stones aligned in floating "cloud -like" structures that appear to defy gravity. The artwork is situated in the first tier raised area on either side of each of the development's monument signs, which are located on the corners of Country Club and Monterey and Country Club and Via Scena. The artwork has been completed and installed as proposed, and the developer is requesting the return of the fee paid into the fund in the amount of $91,038.50. The total cost of the artwork and installation was $94,296.00.
