Background All items on the equipment list are surplus, broken or obsolete. Therefore, staff is requesting that Council authorize disposal of the equipment as appropriate according to the federal and state laws and guidelines. Staff recommends that the City Council declare the equipment as surplus property and authorize staff to dispose of the equipment as follows: 1. Items labeled as donate (on Exhibit "A") will be donated to either a non- educational facility based on their needs; any items not accepted disposed of appropriately, 2.
