Background All items on the equipment list are broken or obsolete. Therefore, staff is requesting that Council authorize disposal of the equipment as appropriate according to the federal and state laws and guidelines. Staff recommends that the City Council declare the equipment as surplus property and authorize staff to dispose of the equipment as follows: 1 2 Subm Items labeled as donate (on Exhibit "A") will be donated to either a non-profit or educational facility based on their needs; any items not accepted will be disposed of appropriately, Items labeled as a -waste have been identified as waste and will be disposed of appropriately.
