Background
On April 14, 2011, City Council awarded Contract No. C30410 in the amount of
$16,403.12 to RBF Consulting, Inc., to perform an inventory of lighting fixtures in the
City. The work was bid on a per -unit basis, using an estimated number of lighting
fixtures. The contract stipulated that the actual number of fixtures to be inventoried
would be verified in the field.
This project is now complete and included an additional 280 lighting fixtures that were
located during the course of the project. The additional fixtures increased the contract
amount by $2,122.40. Staff recommends use of the 10% contingency in the amount of
$1,640.31, and requests approval of the additional expense of $482.09. Funds are
available in FY 10/11 budget account 110-4611-453-3092, Public Works Park
Maintenance - Professional Services.
Fiscal Analysis
The initial contract amount was $16,403.12. Council's approval to use the contingency
funds in the amount of $1,640.31 and approval of the additional expense in the amount
of $482.09 results in a total contract amount $18,525.52.
