Funds are available in General Fund Account No. 110-4610-453-2190, Supplies -Other, 110-4610-453-3320, R/M Landscape Services, 110-4611-453-3320, R/M Landscape Services and 110-4611-453-3371, R/M Tri-Cities Sports Facility. Background On April 7, 2011, the City Clerk advertised and called for proposals for irrigation supplies used in the maintenance of City landscape areas and parks. In order to determine the best pricing available, the request for proposals included a sample list of regularly used irrigation supplies. Bids were opened and read aloud on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. with the following results: Staff Report Award Purchase of Irrigation Supplies to John Deere June 23, 2011 Page 2 of 2 Contractor Location Price 1 John Deere Landscapes Palm Desert, CA $ 8,129.80 2 Imperial Sprinkler Supply Palm Desert, CA $ 8,582.41 3 Ewing Irrigation Palm Desert, CA $10,886.99 Staff reviewed the bid documents of the lowest proposal from John Deere Landscapes and determined that all the requirements have been met. However, during the review process, staff found that a number of items were listed inaccurately on the sample list; therefore, the items were omitted. This omission did not affect the order of the results. Fiscal Analysis This is an on -going maintenance activity with no fiscal impact beyond what has been budgeted. Prepared By: H.
