Recommendation
By Minute Motion: Accept the work as complete and authorize the City
Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project.
Background
On July 14, 2011, the City Council awarded Contract C30970 to Doug Wall
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $24,928.00 for the stabilization of Parcels A and D at
Desert Willow as required to maintain the vacant land until final disposition of the
property. Construction of the stabilization measures are now complete and provide
effective dust control mitigation for both vacant parcels.
The Landscape Department has inspected the work and has found it to be complete;
therefore, staff recommends that the City Clerk be authorized to file a Notice of
Completion with the County Recorder.

Fiscal Analysis

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the interest or estate stated in paragraph 3 herein in the real property herein described is SOLELY
OWNED by the CITY OF PALM DESERT, MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, a political subdivision of the State of
California, and whose address is 73-510 FRED WARING DRIVE, PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA.
2. That the full name and address of the owner of said interest or estate is set forth in the preceding
paragraph.
3. That the nature of the title of the stated owner, as set forth in paragraph 1, is in Fee.
4. That on the 13th day of October 2011 a work of improvement described as Parcel A and D Lot Pad
Stabilization - Contract No. C30970 on the real property herein described was completed.
5. That the name of the original contractor, if any, for said work of improvement was Doug Wall
Construction, Inc., 78-450 Avenue 41, Bermuda Dunes, California, 92203.
6. That the real property herein referred to is situated in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside,
State of California, and is described as Parcel A and D Lot Pad Stabilization Project, 38-995 Desert Willow
Drive, Palm Desert, California 92260.
