The program was conducted utilizing staff assigned to the Palm Desert Police Department's Business District Team as well as the Special Enforcement Team. Additional overtime positions were staffed by officers of the Police Department using Cal COPS (SLESF) funds. However, as noted above, we saw a decrease in calls for service during the 2011 program. It is the recommendation of the Police Department that the program be continued in 2012. 1
