E. APPROVAL OF A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AS IT RELATES TO THE
PROJECT, PURSUANT TO SECTION 15074 OF THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONEMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA).

Recommendation
That the City Council continue this item to a date uncertain.
Background
During noticing, staff was made aware that the project, Carlos Ortega Villas, lies within
Zone E of the Bermuda Dunes Airport Influence Area which requires a formal review
and hearing by the Riverside County Airport Land Use Commission. The
Redevelopment Agency mailed appropriate plans, applications, and the associated fees
on December 23, 2011, to get on the February 9, 2012, Riverside County Airport Land
Use Commission agenda where additional conditions may be placed on the project.
Upon completion of this review, staff will re -notice this project and return to City Council
with a complete report and presentation.
