By Minute Motion: Accept the work as complete and authorize the City
Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project.
Background
On May 24, 2012, the City Council awarded Contract No. C31720 to Quality Mechanical
Professionals, Inc. in the amount of $37,900 for replacement and modification of the
kitchen air conditioning at the Desert Willow Golf Resort. The existing HVAC unit was
original to the building and its useful life was coming to an end. After completion of the
kitchen renovation in 2010, the inadequacy of one existing rooftop unit was realized and
staff recommended replacement of the aging unit with the expectation that additional
energy efficiencies may also be realized with the use of current technology.
The Engineer, KemperSports and City staff have inspected the work and found it to be
substantially complete and recommend a Notice of Completion be filed with the County
Recorder.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the interest or estate stated in paragraph 3 herein in the real property herein described is SOLELY
OWNED by the CITY OF PALM DESERT, MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, a political subdivision of the State of
California, and whose address is 73-510 FRED WARING DRIVE, PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA.
2. That the full name and address of the owner of said interest or estate is set forth in the preceding
paragraph.
3. That the nature of the title of the stated owner, as set forth in paragraph 1, is in Fee.
4. That on the 11th day of October 2012 a work of improvement described as Replacement and
Modification of the Kitchen Air Conditioning at Desert Willow — Contract No. C31720 on the real property
herein described was completed.
5. That the name of the original contractor, if any, for said work of improvement was Quality Mechanical
Professionals, Inc., 1536 Fayette Street, El Cajon, California 92020.
6. That the real property herein referred to is situated in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside,
State of California, and is described as the Desert Willow Golf Resort, 38-995 Desert Willow Drive, Palm
Desert, California 92260.
