Contract No.C30781 Staff Report Approve C30781 with Mariposa Landscape, One-Year Ext. for LMA 6 May 23, 2013 Page 2 of 2 Back�round The subject contract was awarded by City Council to Mariposa Landscape of Irwindale, California, on May 26, 2011. This contract includes the monthly maintenance services for Desert Willow and its perimeter. The current agreement with Mariposa Landscape is for a term of finrenty-four months, with an option for two, one-year extensions. Mariposa Landscape's perFormance has met City standards and has agreed to a one-year extension of contract commencing July 1, 2013, and expiring June 30, 2014, at the current contract price of $66,744 with no cost increase. Repair work and services covers unquantifiable activities necessary for landscape maintenance, which are not part of the landscape maintenance contract. This repair work and services includes, but is not limited to, repair and replacement of irrigation equipment; repair, maintenance and replacement of lighting equipment; emergency tree work; replacement of trees and shrubs; pest control; and accident and vandalism repair and replacement. C30781 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Paim Desert ("City") and Mariposa Landscape, ("Contractor"), entered into an agreement, dated June 23, 2011, for Landscape Maintenance Area No. 6 ("Agreement"), the parties wish to amend the Agreement effective May 23, 2013. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: A. Term is amended to add the following paragraph to the end of the existing section, as amended. "The term of this Agreement is extended, and shall include the time period from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014." B. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged, and shall remain in full force and effect.
