Funds are available in General Fund Account No. 110-4611-453-3320, R/M Landscape Services. Backaround The southern well site in Ironwood Park is located at the southwest corner of Chia Road and Little Bend Trail. Staff has received a number of complaints regarding the lack of maintenance of the landscape surrounding the well site, which is currently being used by the Canyons at Bighorn. Staff researched ownership to determine who is responsible for its maintenance and found that, although Bighorn Gold Glub uses the well site, it is City property. It was also determined that there is no maintenance agreement between the City and Bighorn. Therefore, staff asked Vintage Associates, Inc., the current landscape maintenance contractor for Landscape Maintenance Area 18, which includes Ironwood Park, to provide a cost estimate for monthly maintenance of the well site's surrounding landscape. Staff finds Vintage's price of$300 per month to be reasonable for this area. The Contractor shall construct, furnish equipment and materials, and perform all work as necessary or required to complete the Amendment items for a lump sum price agreed upon between the Contractor and the City of Palm Desert, otherwise referred to as Owner.
