Following are meetings held with groups, residents, and/or businesses for the period
January 13-24, 2014:
January 13 Executive Management Meeting
Weekly meeting with the Management Team.
January 14
January 15
CVAG Executive Committee Meeting
Attended the CVAG Executive Committee Meeting with Vice Chair
Harnik.
Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting 0 the Aquatic Center
The Parks and Recreation Commission held their monthly meeting of
the Aquatic Center. The expansion of the Freedom Dog Park was
approved.
Meetina with Planning Staff Tony Baaato and Kevin Swartz
Met with staff regarding Street Vacation on Shady View Drive.
Meeting with City Attorney,
Discussed the timing of a potential TOT increase on the ballot
(November 2014). Process would start in March with Council
considering an ordinance to place on the ballot.
Cove Commission Meeting
Attended the Cove Commission Meeting. Heard an update from the
Joslyn Center and statistics from Fire and Police.

Bi-weekly staff meeting to review City Council agenda.
January 17

Oversight Board Agenda Review
Reviewed the need for a February 3 Oversight Board Meeting then
rescheduled the meeting on February 24, 2014.
Met with Pat Swarthout- Habitat House
Pat Swarthout is the current President of Habitat for Humanity.
Discussed the wounded warrior house with Habitat on
San Benito Circle.
Met with Mavor Tanner and Ynez Canela
Discussed JFK Memorial Path to Health Campaign
Meeting with Mavor, Mavor Pro Tem. and City Attorney
Weekly meeting to discuss issues and review citizen complaints.
Meeting with PDEO (Palm Desert Employee Organization)
Met with PDEO regarding the 2014 Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU).
Meeting with Director of Public Works Mark Greenwood
Discussed various public work items and timing for capital projects.
Meeting with Director of Economic Development Martin Alvarez
Discussed Long-range Property Management Plan
Desert Willow President's Meeting
Monthly meeting to discuss December 2013 revenues and expenses
as well as Capital items.
After Action Discussion — Gas Leak on Monterey Avenue
Discussed gas leak on Monterey Avenue at Magnesia Falls. Fire,
Police, Public Works, Public Information Officer, and Risk Manager
discussed communication and timely response.

Conference Call — Jeff Kolin. City of Beverly Hills
National Urban Fellows moved the conference from J.W. Marriott to
Rancho Las Palmas.
Meeting with Community Development Director Lauri Avlaian and
Economic Development Manager Ruth Ann Moore
Discussed new business on El Paseo.
Meetina with Joe Popper — Palm Desert Swim Club
Discussed cost and charges for a Palm Desert Swim Club meet.
Meeting with Mayor Pro Tem Weber Regarding Bond Debt
Discussed the article in The Desert Sun on Bond Debt and differences
between City debt and Successor Agency debt
January 23 Meetina with Mayor Tanner Regarding Protocol
Discussed method to get answers from staff.
City Council Meeting
January 24 Meeting with Greg Johnson - Palm Springs Art Museum
PSAM discussion on charitable contribution requests.
Meetina with Tom Kirk and Allyn Waggle regarding Portola
Discussed Portola Avenue interchange and widening, including timing,
status of project, and funding.
Meetina with Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and City Attorney
Weekly meeting to discuss citizen concerns and address issues
brought up during the week.
