A. DISCUSSION of Proposed Activities for 2013/14
Upon discussion of proposed activities for 2013/14, members made several
suggestions to include a pumpkin decorating contest, a food drive and/or

an assisted living facility, assisting Desert Arc with one of their holiday
parties, and a car wash fundraiser.
With regard to holding a pumpkin decorating contest at the Living Desert,
Ms. Lawrence noted that because it is already October, this type of event
may need to be held next year. She indicated that she would inquire about
this possibility with the Living Desert. As for holding a food drive and/or
assisting at a soup kitchen, Ms. Lawrence stated that she would look into
volunteer opportunities at Martha's Village and Kitchen.
Upon discussion on holding events at the Joslyn Center and/or assisted
living facilities, members agreed to hold a youth/senior technology day in
March and possibly a game night for seniors sometime next year.
Member Murphy offered to contact Desert Arc to see about the Committee
assisting with one of their holiday parties and Member Josie Ygnatowiz
offered to provide the Committee with information on a Senior Prom that she
is working on with another group.
Members agreed to hold another car wash fundraiser in May. Ms. Lawrence
