Approve Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. C33100 in the amount of$564 for the San Pascual Channel Access Project; 2. Authorize the transfer of$564 from contingency to base; 3. Authorize the Mayor to execute said Change Order No. 1; and 4. Accept the work as complete and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for Contract No. C33100, the San Pascual Channel Access Ramp Project (Project No. 518-13). Backqround On November 14, 2013, City Council awarded Contract No. C33100 in the amount of $76,000 to Cora Constructors, Inc., of Palm Desert, California, for the San Pascual Channel Access Ramp Project. The project constructed an access ramp to the bottom of the channel to provide access for maintenance. The concrete driveway required an Staff Report Approve Change Order No.1 and NOC for the San Pascual Channel Access Ramp Project (Contract No. C33100) Page 2 of 2 January 23, 2014 additional 94 square feet of concrete beyond the contract amount. The additional concrete was placed at the contract unit price, which added $564 to the cost. Staff has inspected the work performed by the contractor and has found said work to be complete and in accordance with the contract requirements. The work was completed on time. Fiscal Analvsis The initial contract amount was $76,000. This change order will increase the contract amount to $76,564. There is no fiscal impact beyond the change order amount. The Contractor shall construct, furnish equipment and materials, and perform all work as necessary or required to complete the Change Order items for a lump sum price agreed upon between the Contractor and the City of Palm Desert, otherwise referred to as Owner. Contract Time Extension 0 Days. Revised Contract Total $76.564.00 The undersigned Contractor approves the foregoing Change Order # 1 as to the changes, if any, in the contract price specified for each item including any and all supervision costs and other miscellaneous costs relating to the change in work, and as to ihe extension of time allowed, if any, for completion of the entire work on account of said Change Order # 1 . The Contractor agrees to furnish all labor and materials and perform all other necessary work, inclusive of that directly or indirect(y related to the approved time extension, required to compiete the Change Order items.
