Ralph Scatena, GM of the Marriott Desert Springs, wanted information for their Marriott Host guests. Produced a State of the City's Tourism and Development for the year for Mr. Scatena to share. Execute Manaqement Meetin� Weekly meeting with the Management Team. CVAG TAC Meetinq Attended CVAG TAC meeting. Citizens' Sustainabilitv Committee Meetin� Attended the Citizens' Sustainability Committee Meeting. Discussed plastic bag ban changes and water conservation. May 13 Coachella Vallev Water District Meetina - re: New Chromium-6 Reaulation Met with CVWD General Manager Jim Barrett and Environmental Services Director Steve Bigley to discuss the impacts of the new State regulation for Chromium-6, as well as the cost for implementation. May 15 CV Link Operations and Maintenance Met with Tom Kirk and Council Member Harnik to discuss long-term maintenance of CV Link. Provided comments to a proposed resolution. Staff Meetina Mario Gonzalez Meetin� Met with Mario Gonzalez, Tom Tokheim, Nicole Criste and Lauri Aylaian regarding low income housing. Urban Futures Met with Rudy Acosta, Martin Alvarez, Lauri Aylaian, Michael Busch (CEO of Urban Fixtures) and Donald Lamm (Managing Principal of Diamond Star Associates). Discussed obtaining an RFP for Hotel Attraction report. ICMA 401a — Plan Document Parameters Met with Lori Carney and Paul Gibson. Discussed a flexible tool for a retiree health plan for the City in the long term, to be replaced by a 401 a account. GHA Affordable Housinq Requirements Met with Lauri Aylaian and Janet Moore to discuss how to achieve our RHNA numbers without RDA. May 20 Solar Ribbon Cuttins� at Desert Rose Attended the solar project at Desert Rose ribbon cutting ceremony. Marketin� Committee Meetinq Attended the Marketing Committee meeting to listen to the Marketing Plan discussion and the Advertising Plan. Informed the Marketing Committee about the TOT ballot measure. May 21 Cove Commission TAC Meetinq _ Attended the Cove Commission TAC meeting and discussed the Joslyn Center budget. Mark Greenwood — IID Issues Conference call with Mark Greenwood and Patrick Swarthout regarding the I-10/Monterey Interchange and the Imperial Irrigation District. Need to modify the electric line locations. Tour of P.S. Art Museum � Palm Desert Branch Tour of Palm Springs Art Museum with Allen Monroe, Brian Harnik, Larry Spicer and Roger Snoble. Reviewed sculpture garden pieces of art. May 22 Vacation Attended Elle's graduation in Ithica, New York. May 23 Vacation May 26 Memorial Dav Holidav � Citv Hall Closed May 27 Live-Ed Special Event Application Met with Amy Lawrence, Frankie Riddle, Martin Alvarez and Rudy Acosta. Discussed appropriateness of location in Civic Center Park and types of acts, so as not create a safety or security issue. May 28 Harassment Prevention Trainina Attended the bi-annual harassment prevention training. Aquatic Center Committee Met with Karen Creasy, Ryan Stendell, Donna Gomez and Anthony Hernandez. Reviewed the revenues and expenditures for April and discussed capital improvement projects and marketing strategies. Mark Greenwood � Coachella Vallev Water District Easements within Public Ris�ht-of-Wav Met with Mark Greenwood to discuss a new easement CVWD had wished to have granted from the City. Jason Finlev and Tonv Baaato � RE: Hollinqsworth Fence Issue Met with Jason Finley and Tony Bagato. Discussed the interpretation of the ordinance as a minor repair at San Clemente Circle and the safety issue with a pool in the backyard. Nicole and John Criste � RE: CVAG Proiect Met with Nicole and John Criste. Discussed a CVAG recommendation for the "Green for Life" partnership consulting work. May 29 Jane Stanlev � RE: Cove Commission A�enda Met with Jane Stanley regarding organizing the Cove Commission meeting at Desert Willow and review of the agenda. Outside A�encv Fundin� Requests The Outside Agency Funding Committee discussed the application for the FY 2014/2015 budget. Approved a list of worthwhile recipients. Meetinct with CVAG re�ardin� Re�ional Street Sweepin� Met with Aurora Wilson, Carlos Hernandez and CleanStreet to discuss blow sand issues in the North Sphere. Review Aqreement for EI Paseo Hotel Land Sale Met with Ruth Ann Moore, Rudy Acosta and Martin Alvarez. Discussed the purchase and sale agreement for the Larkspur property. May 30 Council Member Harnik Met with City Council Member Jan Harnik to discuss the CVAG Executive Committee agenda. Citv Mana4er Meetina � Leaaue of California Cities Attended the new Riverside County League of California Cities City Manager Meeting. Discussed how to assist the Riverside County Division and keep the State out of cities' pockets. Mark Greenwood � Citv Hall Air Conditioninq Svstem Discussed making the City Hall air conditioning more efficient. Rudv Acosta and Lon Odom Met with Rudy Acosta and Lon Odom.
