Following are meetings held with groups, residents, and/or businesses for the period
April 14- April 25, 2014:
April 14 Met with Chris Allin� � Xavier Colleqe Prep
Mr. Alling has a family (Friscia) that possibly wishes to donate to
the Aquatic Center in the name of their son. Staff is working on a
naming policy and donation criteria.
Executive Manaqement Meetina
Weekly meeting with the Management Team.
CVAG TAC Meetinq
Attended the CVAG TAC meeting. The Portola Interchange
Funding Agreement was on the agenda and approved.
Tax Roll Billinp and Recvcle and Vehicle Impact Fees Meetinq
Met with Frankie Riddle and Burrtec officials to discuss contract
extension and increases to residential and commercial.
April 15 Desert Willow President's Meetinq
Discussed the March revenues and expenses as well as the Capital
Improvement Projects and the Hurdzan Master Plan work.
Cove Commission TAC
Attended the Cove Commission TAC meeting. Discussed with the
fellow City Managers the Joslyn Center Master Plan expansion land
and the possibility of their share of the repurchase.

Meetinq with Mark Greenwood, Public Works Items
Discussed the Monterey Interchange improvements and the Portola
Interchange process.
Meetinq with Scott Wilson � Offer for land on Country Club
Drive
Met with Scott Wilson, Martin Alvarez and Rudy Acosta to discuss
the Successor Agency land on Country Club.
April 16 Rotary
Attended the morning rotary meeting. The Chamber of Commerce
made the presentation.
2014 Savinq Strokes
Attended the 4t Annual Saving Strokes event at the Desert Willow
Academy.
April 17 Staff Meetinq
Staff meeting to discuss current issues and review agenda for next
City Council meeting.
Met with Rosemary Orteqa & Nancv Jo reqardina the
Ambassador Event
Met with Rosemary Ortega, Nancy Jo and David Hermann to
discuss an event the Sister City Committee is planning in October.
Traffic Siqnal Malfunction Meetinq
Met with Mark Greenwood, Mark Diercks, Stephen Aryan, Captain
Kevin Vest and David Adams to develop a policy for assistance.
Meetinq with Mario Gonzalez and Ted Seldin
RE: Propertv befinreen Portola and Cook/Gerald Ford and UP
Rail
Met with Mario Gonzalez, Ted Seldin, Tony Bagato, Mark
Greenwood, Janet Moore, Ryan Stendell, Russell Grance, Martin
Alvarez, Mayor Tanner and Council Member Harnik to discuss
Master Plan of lands between Portola Avenue and Cook Street,
north of Gerald Ford Drive.
April 18 Meetinq with Heather Buck re: Carlos Orte�ta Villas
Met with Heather Buck and Rudy Acosta to discuss status of design
and bid process for Carlos Ortega Villas.

April 21 Meetinq with Russell Grance re: Buildina Inspector I Position
Discussed appropriate classification for the new Building Inspector I
position prior to the City Council budget session.
Executive Manas�ement Meetina
Weekly meeting with the Management Team.
Oversiqht Board Aqenda for Mav 5 Review
Prepared the agenda for the May 5 Oversight Board meeting.
April 22 Meet and Confer Conference Call with DOF
The State Department of Finance denied certain aspects of the 14-
15A ROPS. The most significant issue was the denial of the
stipulation amount in the ROPS, which we believe is an existing
obligation requiring the City to provide Affordable Housing
consistent with the RHNA numbers from HCD.
Audit, Investment and Finance Committee Meetinq
Attended the Finance Committee meeting, which was rushed due
to the Budget Study Session.

April 23 Meetinq with Citv Attornev
Weekly meeting with City Attorney.
Cove Commission
Attended the Cove Commission meeting and briefly discussed the
Joslyn Center Master Plan land with the Commission.
Linda Bennecke-Committee 4 with Civil Grand Jury re: AB109
Impact — Contract with the Sheriff s Department and Impact on
the City
A subcommittee of the Grand Jury to discuss the PACT Grant and
impact of AB109 on the City of Palm Desert.
Meetina with Mark Greenwood re: EI Paseo Square and Arterial
Street Sweepinq
Discussed a right tum lane (future) into EI Paseo Square off of
Highway 111 and post-wind regional street sweeping, especially for
Dinah Shore Drive.

April 24 Meetin� with Rudv Acosta, Martin Alvarez, Paul Gibson Janet
Moore. Veronica Tapia
Met to discuss Long Range Property Management Plan (LRPMP),
specifically the Entrada site and Joslyn Center.
Meetinct with Pedro Rodriquez and Tonv Baqato re: Water
Issues — Plastic Baqs
Discussed a water waste notification process for the City in
partnership with CVWD and direction on the plastic bag ordinance
and audit process.
Staff Follow-Ua with Mario Gonzalez re: Master Plan Meetinq
Prepared a concept of a Master Plan for land between Portola and
Cook Street, north of Gerald Ford Drive.
Closed Session with Citv Council
Citv Council Meetinq
April25 Meetinq with Mario Gonzalez and Ted Selvin from GHA
Communities
Distributed a Master Plan concept to land owners.
