A. MINUTES of the Housing Authority Meeting of June 23, 2005. Rec: Approve as presented. Action: IV. CONSENT ITEMS HELD OVER V. RESOLUTIONS None POSTED AGENDA PALM DESERT HOUSING AUTHORITY MEETING JULY 14, 2005 VI. NEW BUSINESS A. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. HA23010A FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES AT LAGUNA PALMS APARTMENTS (JOINT CONSIDERATION WITH THE PALM DESERT REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY). Rec: 1) By Minute Motion, that the Housing Authority assign the contract and remaining balance of the original Contract No. HA23010A to the Redevelopment Agency, Account No. 870-4481-464-4001, from the Housing Authority, Account No. 871-8610-466-4001, and authorize the City Clerk to so notify contractor. 2) By Minute Motion, that the Redevelopment Agency: a) Accept Contract No. HA23010A from the Housing Authority; b) approve Change Order No. 1 in an amount not to exceed $36,000 to said contract with Prest Vuksic, Inc., Palm Desert, California, for additional architectural services needed for Laguna Palms Apartments -- funds are available in the FY 2005/06 Capital Improvement Budget, Account No. 870-4481-464-4001; c) authorize additional reimbursables of $2,000; d) authorize the Chairman or his designee to execute all documents necessary to implement the assignment and Change Order request. Action: B. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY TO ENTER INTO RENEWAL CONTRACT FOR LANDSCAPING SERVICES AT THE HOUSING AUTHORITY PROPERTIES. Rec: By Minute Motion: 1) That the Housing Authority authorize RPM Company to enter into a renewal contract for FY 2005/06 beginning July 1, 2005, with Liberty Landscaping, Riverside, California, in the aggregate amount of $23,868 per month ($286,416 annually) for routine landscaping services for nine Housing Authority Properties - - funds have been appropriated in the FY 2005/06 Housing Authority Operating Budget under Contract Services; 2) authorize work that is outside the routine landscaping services noted in the proposal under "Additional Work" by Liberty Landscaping in the standard hourly rates stated in the proposal. plus materials.
