RECEIVE AND FILE the update on the City of Palm Desert City Council, Redevelopment Agency, and Housing Authority Strategic Objectives. Discussion: On January 15 and January 16, 2008, the Palm Desert City Council and Executive Management Staff attended a retreat for the purpose of formulating a strategic plan. As a result of this meeting, the retreat attendees formulated the following five three-year goals (presented in no specific order): 1. Complete an Indoor Recreation Center with a Pool 2. Plan, Finance and Commence Construction of Phase 11 of the Westfield Center, Including High -End Stores 3. Design and Begin Construction of a Hotel at Desert Willow 4. Maintain Financial Stability 5. Be Recognized as a Leader in Energy Efficiency For each specific goal indicated above, various objectives were identified and assigned to the appropriate City staff member to complete, within a six-month period. Please find attached an updated table for each of these objectives.
