Contract HA23010A Amendment No. 3 Continued from front
This Contract Amendment covers changes to the subject contract as described herein. The consultant shall perform
all work as necessary or required to complete the Contract Amendment items for a lump sum price agreed upon
between the Consultant and the Palm Desert Housing Authority, otherwise referred to as Owner.
Contract Time Extension Days.
Revised Contract Total $109,140.00
The undersigned Consultant approves the foregoing Contract Amendment # 3 as to the changes, if any, in the
contract price specified for each item including any and all supervision costs and other miscellaneous costs relating to
the change in work, and as to the extension of time allowed, if any, for completion of the entire work on account of said
Contract Amendment # 3 . The Consultant agrees to furnish all labor and materials and perform all other necessary
work, inclusive of that directly or indirectly related to the approved time extension, required to complete the Contract
Amendment items. This document will become a supplement of the contract and all provisions will apply hereto. It is
understood that the Contract Amendment shall be effective when approved by the Owner.
Execution of this Contract Amendment by the Consultant constitutes a binding accord and satisfaction that fully
satisfies, waives, and releases the Owner from all claims, demands, costs, and liabilities, in contract, law or equity,
arising out of or related to the subject of the Contract Amendment, whether known or unknown, including but not
limited to direct and indirect costs and/or damages for delay, disruption, acceleration, and loss of productivity, as well
as any and all consequential damages.
This document will become a supplement to the Contract and all provisions will apply hereto, all items included above
must have required signatures as per the purchase resolution.

The Project: Laguna Palms Change Order #3
The Owner hereby authorizes Prest Vuksic Architects to:
(X) Proceed with Additional Services
(X) Proceed with Revised Scope of Services
(X) Incur Reimbursable Expenses
Described as follows:
• Additional project meetings requested by Owner with new Construction Manager
• Additional scope of work requested by Owner during bidding for apartment interiors; required additional
construction documents and coordination
• Additional scope of work requested by Owner to add new electrical, telephone and cable to apartment units;
required additional drawings, consultant time and coordination
• Construction coordination and review of design/build drawing for new fire protection system added during the
construction phase
• Removal of existing cement plaster on single story apartments; required new shear design, meetings and field
coordination
• Building "E" (two-story building) — Second story roof structure was in failure and first floor roof was found to
be substandard in areas. Code required structural upgrades for compliance, which required coordination of new
structural construction documents and field coordination of new construction.
• Additional construction administration required for additional scope of work and for the extended construction
time frame

REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES

Reimbursable Expenses would be billed using a multiplier of 1.15 (15%) in addition to the Architect's compensation
and include actual expenditures made by the Architect and Architect's ernployees in the interest of the Project for the
expenses listed in the following subparagraphs:
a. Expenses of transportation and living expenses in the connection with transportation outside of the Coachella
Valley authorized by owner.
b. Long distance communications.
c. Fees paid in securing approvals of authorities having jurisdiction over the project.
d. Computer plotting, reproductions of drawings, specifications and other documents.
e. Postage and special handling of documents.
f. Perspective renderings or models.
g. Data processing and photographic production techniques.
h. 'Title 24 energy compliance calculations.
i. Topographic survey.
j. Geotechnical studies of existing soils and recompaction.
k. Geotechnical engineer's review of structural drawings, if required by city.
1. Reproduction of drawings, specifications and other documents.
m. Expense of overtime work requiring higher than regular rates, if authorized by the Owner.
n. Expense of additional insurance coverage or limits, including professional liability insurance, requested by the
Owner in excess of that normally carried by the Architect.
HOURLY RATE SCHEDULE
Principal Architect: $185/hr.
Project Manager: $145/hr.
Job Captain: $125/hr.
Senior CADD Operator: $95/hr.
Intermediate CADD Operator: $85/hr.
Junior CADD Operator: $75/hr.
Secretary: $65/hr.
All invoices upon 45 days past date of invoice would he billed at an interest rate of l.5% per month.
