Teresa Vakili stated that the nine ponds currently have bio filters, motors,
rocks, concrete beds and will all have to be removed then filled with soil,
irrigation, plant replacement, seating area, lighting, etc .
Mrs. Moore stated that the bids were thoroughly reviewed by both staff and
legal counsel and were considered incomplete. Staff defined the specifics
to remove the ponds in the scope of work however was looking for new
fresh ideas in terms of design, types of plants, seating areas, lighting, etc.
Therefore, staff decided that a design included with the scope of work
would be more ideal and helpful. Once those design plans are completed,
staff will bring them to the Commission for review.
