HA35590B STAFF REPORT PALM DESERT HOUSING AUTHORITY HOUSING DEPARTMENT MEETING DATE: February 22, 2018 PREPARED BY: Jessica Gonzales, Senior Management Analy, REQUEST: ACCEPT THE WORK AS COMPLETE FOR`GONTRACT NO. HA35590B WITH NEW CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS INC., FOR RE-ROUTING PLUMBING SERVICES AT ONE QUAIL PLACE BUILDING NO. 19, 22 AND 40 Recommendation By Minute Motion, that the Authority Board, 1) Accept the work as complete for Contract No. HA35590B with New Construction Solutions, Inc., for re-routing plumbing services at One Quail Place building No. 19, 22 and 40; and 2) Authorize the Authority Secretary to file a Notice of Completion for the project. Housing Commission Recommendation The Housing Commission will review this recommendation at its regular meeting of February 14, 2018. Upon request, a verbal report will be provided at the Authority's regular meeting of February 22, 2018. Strategic Plan This request does not apply to a specific strategic plan goal. Background Analysis On December 8, 2016, the Palm Desert Housing Authority Board authorized the award of Contract No. HA35590B to New Construction Solutions, Inc. ("New Construction") for the re-routing plumbing services at One Quail Place building No. 19, 22 and 40. The Notice to Proceed was issued on March 27, 2017. The project work was extended because of unforeseen conditions. All contract work has been satisfactorily completed and final inspections have been conducted by all City of Palm Desert departments and the Authority's property management.
