I. CALL TO ORDER - 3:00 P.M.
Chairman Harnik convened the meeting at 3:02 p.m.

With Housing Authority Board concurrence,Chairman Harnik adjourned the meeting
to Closed Session of the City Council, Successor Agency, and Housing Authority
Board at 3:04 p.m. She reconvened the meeting at 4:02 p.m.
IV. RECONVENE REGULAR MEETING - 4:00 P.M.
A. REPORT ON ACTION FROM CLOSED SESSION.
Mr. Hargreaves reported that direction was given, but no reportable action
was taken.
NOTE: Under Section VIII -Awards and Presentations of today's City Council
Meeting, the annual Mayoral Rotation occurred, with Sabby Jonathan being
appointed as Mayor for the City of Palm Desert, and Susan Marie Weber as
Mayor Pro Tem (Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Housing Authority,
respectively).
V. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. MINUTES of the Housing Authority Meeting of November 16, 2017.
Rec: Approve as presented.
B. CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE CITY/HOUSING TREASURIES -
Warrants Dated 11/9/2017 and 12/1/2017 (Joint Consideration with the
Palm Desert City Council).
Rec: Approve as presented.
C. HOUSING COMMISSION MINUTES for the Meeting of October 11, 2017.

D. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL of Amendment No.2 to Contract with Richards,
Watson & Gershon for Legal Services for the Successor Agency to the
Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency, Palm Desert Housing Authority, and
City of Palm Desert (Contract No. SA28881) (Joint Consideration with the
Palm Desert City Council and the Successor Agency to the Palm Desert
Redevelopment Agency).
Rec: By Minute Motion, approve Amendment No. 2 to subject contract with
Richards, Watson & Gershon, Los Angeles, California, for the
Successor Agency to the Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency,
Palm Desert Housing Authority, and City of Palm Desert through
June 30, 2018.
E. ANNUAL Low and Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund Report Relative to
SB 341.
Rec: By Minute Motion, receive and file.
Upon motion by Harnik, second by Nestande, and 5-0 vote of the Authority Board
(AYES: Harnik, Kelly, Nestande, Weber, and Jonathan; NOES: None), the Consent
Calendar was approved as presented.
VI. CONSENT ITEMS HELD OVER
None
VII. RESOLUTIONS
A. RESOLUTION NO. HA - 84 - A RESOLUTION OF THE PALM DESERT
HOUSING AUTHORITY, REPLACING RESOLUTION NO. HA-22 AND
AMENDING OCCUPANCY STANDARDS FOR THE ALLOCATION OF
RESIDENTIAL UNITS OWNED, OPERATED, AND RESTRICTED BY THE
AUTHORITY.
Ms. Moore stated this item was an administrative update, which changes
references to the former Agency to the Housing Authority, and in cases
where it mentioned the Agency owned the properties, the Authority now
owns them, so those were updated as well.
Member Kelly moved to waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. HA - 84.
Motion was seconded by Weber and carried by a 5-0 (AYES: Harnik, Kelly, Nestande,
Weber, and Jonathan; NOES: None).
