REQUEST: Execute a Grant Deed to perfect the intent of approved and
recorded Parcel Map Waiver 03-13

Recommendation:
By minute motion, authorize the Chairman to execute a Grant
Deed, which will implement the merged lots for the Palm Village
Apartments at 73-610 Santa Rosa Way, pursuant to Certificate of
Compliance Parcel Map waiver 03-13 as approved by the City of
Palm Desert Planning Commission on August 19, 2003.
Discussion:
The City of Palm Desert Planning Commission approved a waiver of parcel map
(PMW 03-13) for a lot merger for the Palm Village Apartment project at 73-610
Santa Rosa Way on August 19, 2003. The related Certificate of Compliance for
PMW 03-13 was recorded with the County of Riverside October 8, 2003. As with
any lot line adjustments and lot mergers, new deeds for the affected property
need to be recorded to provide constructive notice of the revised or merged lot
configurations) pursuant to Government Code Section 66412(d). A deed also
perfects the intent of a lot line adjustment or merger, as approved.

Therefore, since a new Grant Deed has not yet been recorded, staff
recommends that the Redevelopment Agency Board, by minute motion,
authorize the Chairman to execute a Grant Deed to perfect the intent of approved
and recorded Parcel Map waiver 03-13.
