Dear Dan:
At its regular meeting of September 22, 2005, the Palm Desert City Council accepted your
resignation from the Parks & Recreation Commission with very sincere regret. The City of
Palm Desert enjoys the success it has today due in great part to the participation of its residents
on committees and commissions. Your contributions to the Commission were invaluable.
On behalf of the citizens of Palm Desert, the City Council would like to extend its appreciation for
your time and effort. We invite you to the Regular Meetings of the Palm Desert City Council and
Redevelopment Agency at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2005, in the Civic Center
Council Chamber when we will make a presentation to publicly recognize your service at the
opening of the meeting. Please telephone me at (760) 346-0611. Ext. 304 or e-mail me at
rklassen(cDci.palm-desert.ca.us to confirm your attendance.
As a matter of official business with your departure from the Parks & Recreation Commission,
enclosed is a 2004/2005 Form 700 - Statement of Economic Interests for your completion under
the "Type of Statement" category Leaving Office. The effective date will be September 22, 2005,
and the period covered by the statement will be January 1, 2005, through the date of leaving
office. For your convenience, I have included a copy of your last annual statement filing, a copy
of the Appendix List of Designated Positions to the City's Conflict of Interest Code, and additional
materials from the Fair Political Practices Commission. Your completed and signed statement
is due in my office no later than 5:00 o.m. on Mcndav, October 24, 2005 (30 days following the
City Council's acceptance of your resignation).
Thank you, Dan! I look forward to hearing from you soon and seeing you on October 13.
Sincerely,
RACHELLE D. KLASSEN, CIVIC
CITY CLERK
