Mike Brown
Kristie Garcia
Nominated by Reason for Recognition
Mark Greenwood For Improving the City's Image in successfully resolving
a resident complaint of large quantities of mud that had
settled in the street directly in front of the home on
December 30.
Kristie received the call, and although the cleanup was
the responsibility of another agency, because of the
holiday weekend, Kristy contacted Mike Brown in the
field and explained the situation. Mike used the
resources of a nearby water truck and personally hosed
down the street. The resident called the City to express
appreciation for the quick response, thus enhancing the
City's image.
Ed Gallardo
Page Garner For Meritorious Service Above and Beyond, and Cost -
Sergio Rosas
Savings in uncovering a survey monument which had
Gil Salcedo
inadvertently been paved over during last year's
resurfacing project. The City had contracted with a
company to perform a citywide benchmark leveling and
high order GPS survey, and without this crucial
monument the survey crew would not have been able to
complete their job. They worked through the night to
uncover the monument thereby allowing the contractor to
complete the job.
Hart Ponder
Letter from Chamber For Strong Support and Assistance with the Palm
Sergio Rosas
Desert Golf Cart Parade. The City received a letter from
the Chamber commending them for working with the
committee throughout the planning process and providing
assistance the day of the event.
Mark Diercks
Mark Greenwood For Improved City Image in the management and quick
response in the removal of a tree that was obstructing a
stop sign. A segment of the December 26, 2005 Desert
Sun article stated, "Palm Desert's Public Works
Department moves so fast it might make your head spin."
This type of recognition in the newspaper does wonders
for the City's image. Congratulations on a job well done.
