Ortega, City Manager Date: January 12, 2006 Subject:: EMPLOYEES TO BE RECOGNIZED IN JANUARY Attached is a list of employees who will be recognized at the City Council meeting on January 12, 2006. A letter has been sent to each recipient congratulating them and requesting their attendance. Each one will be recognized for their own individual achievement and a gift card will be awarded to them. 6XIIVI CARLOS L. ORTEGA City Manager CLO:kr Attachment Employee Nominated by Reason for Recognition Pat Conlon Councilwoman Jean Benson Pat played a major role in bringing the Animal Campus to fruition which went far above and beyond the call of duty. He deserves our gratitude and recognition for a job very well done, and a special "bow wow" and "meow" from all the new residents! Bernice Gonzales Councilman Buford Crites Bernice goes above and beyond in representing the City as its receptionist. She is always extremely friendly, willing to assist anyone be it staff, Council, or the public, and goes the extra mile to assist callers who are looking for assistance in finding other agencies or community benefits. Once again this year, she made the main lobby in the Administrative Services building festive for the holiday season. Janet Moore and Sheila R. Gilligan On Sunday, December 4, the city experienced Joe Pudis a very significant event when some of its units at One Quail Place were either destroyed or severely damaged by a fire. Janet and Joe immediately stepped to the forefront in responding to this situation. Janet spent the day working with RPM in making sure the affected residents were tended to and temporary housing provided. Joe came in from a three-week vacation to inspect the units to determine potential entry and make a preliminary estimate of damage. Janet and Joe are to be commended for their commitment to the City and the high level of service they provided. Aaron Zamarripa Mark Greenwood On December 13, 2005, resident Rosemary Capizzi, Highway 74/Grapevine, called Public Works to compliment Aaron on being conscientious in fixing signs on the corner in front of her home. Aaron is to be commended for his efforts in improving the City's image while providing outstanding service to its residents.
