By Minute Motion, that the Agency Board:
1. Approve the Grant of Easement and Bill of Sale to Verizon California, Inc., for
telephone property facility service installation at Palm Village Apartments; and
2. Authorize Chairman to execute the above documents.
Discussion:
This Grant of Easement and Bill of Sale are necessary for the underground supply system and
above ground equipment to provide phone service to the Palm Village Apartments at 73-650
Santa Rosa Way. These documents have been reviewed by Page Garner, City Surveyor, and
are acceptable.
Therefore, staff recommends that the Agency Board approve the Grant of Easement and Bill of
Sale, and authorize the execution by the Chairman.

California, Inc., which requires the Chairman of the Agency Board's signature and a
notary's acknowledgement. The document appears to be appropriate and the legal
descriptions are satisfactory.

Regarding: Palm Village Apartments
As you know, Verizon will be placing underground telecommunications facilities
within developer -provided conduit in the above -referenced property. It is necessary
that we secure easement/s providing the right to install and maintain said facilities
within your development. Also, a Bill of Sale which conveys the owner/developer-
provided conduit system to Verizon is needed.
A subdivision easement document and a Bill of Sale are enclosed for your review. If
the documents meet with your approval, each one needs to be signed by one or more
authorized partner(s) at a Notary Public for acknowledgment. The easement will be
recorded, but the Bill of Sale will not. Please send the original of each document
back to me in the envelope provided.

THE GRANTOR, PALM DESERT REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, hereby grants to VERIZON
CALIFORNIA INC., a corporation, hereinafter referred to as GRANTEE, its successors and assigns, an easement
and right of way for the purposes of constructing, using, maintaining, operating, altering, adding to, repairing,
replacing, reconstructing, inspecting and/or removing its facilities, consisting of, but not limited to: poles, cables,
wires, amplifiers, crossarms, anchors, guys, braces, underground conduits, manholes, handholes, pedestals, above
and below ground vaults and enclosures, concrete pads, markers and other appurtenances, fixtures and/or facilities
(hereinafter sometimes collectively called equipment) necessary or useful for the transmission of electric energy for
communications, telecommunications, video, intelligence by electrical means and/or other purposes on, over, in,
under, across and along that certain real property situated in the County of Riverside, State of California, described
as follows:
A non-exclusive easement, EXCLUSIVE OF BUILDING SITES, lying within:
PARCEL "A" as described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit °B" attached hereto and by reference made
a part hereof.
It is understood and agreed that all equipment placed within the above -described property shall be located
with the approval of the Grantors herein, and when so placed, the location of said equipment shall be the
center of a permanent easement extending 5.00 feet on each side of the centerline of said equipment.
This legal description was prepared by Grantee, pursuant to Section 8730(c) of the Business and Professions Code.
THE GRANTEE, its successors and assigns and their respective agents and employees, shall have the right of
ingress to and egress from said easement and every part thereof, at all times, for the purpose of exercising the rights
herein granted and shall have the right to remove such growth as may endanger or interfere with the use of said
easement. Such rights shall be reasonably exercised and the Grantee shall be liable for any damage negligently done
by it to the above described property.
