Recommendation:
By Minute Motion, that the Agency and Housing Authority authorize the City Clerk to file a
Notice of Completion for the California Villas Phase A, Exterior Renovations (Contract
No. HA-23650) as completed.
Executive Summarv:
Approval of staff recommendation authorizes the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for California
Villas Phase A. The project is now completed.
Discussion:
On March 9, 2006, the Housing Authority awarded Contract No. HA-23650 to Portrait Homes, Inc. for
Phase A, Exterior Renovations, at California Villas. Since all work included in Contract HA-23650 has
been satisfactorily completed and all final inspections have been conducted by all departments and
agencies that have jurisdiction, staff requests that the City Clerk be authorized to file a Notice of
Completion with the County Recorder.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the interest or estate stated in paragraph 3 herein in the real property herein described is SOLELY
OWNED by the PALM DESERT REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, A PUBLIC BODY, CORPORATE AND
POLITIC, a political subdivision of the State of California, and whose address is 73-510 FRED WARING
DRIVE, PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA.
2. That the full name and address of the owner of said interest or estate is set forth in the preceding
paragraph.
3. That the nature of the title of the stated owner, as set forth in paragraph 1, in fee.
4. That on the 13th day of September 2007 a work of improvement described as CONTRACT NO. HA-
23650 — CALIFORNIA VILLAS PHASE A, EXTERIOR RENOVATIONS on the real property herein described
was completed.
5. That the name of the original contractor, if any, for said work of improvement was PORTRAIT HOMES,
INC., 265 N. JOY ST., SUITE 200, CORONA, CA 92879.
6. That the real property herein referred to is situated in the City of Palm Desert, County of Riverside,
State of California, and is described as CALFORNIA VILLAS, 77-107 CALIFORNIA AVENUE, PALM
DESERT, CALIFORNIA 92211.
