Upon a motion by Ferguson, second by Kelly, and 5-0 vote of the Agency Board,
Chairman Finerty adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 3:00 p.m. She reconvened
the meeting at 4:00 p.m.

VI. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. MINUTES of the Regular Redevelopment Agency Meeting of March 11,
2010.
Rec: Approve as presented.
B. CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE AGENCY TREASURY - Warrant
Nos. 186RDA, 189 City/RDA, 191 RDA, 187-Housing, 192-Housing,188HA,
and 193HA.
Rec: Approve as presented.
C. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL of Amendment No. 1 to Contract
No. R27280 - Professional Engineering Services forthe Palm Desert Country
Club (PDCC) Utility Undergrounding Project.
Rec: By Minute Motion, authorize Amendment No. 1 in an amount not to
exceed $19,215 to the subject contract with Willdan Financial
Services, Temecula, California, for additional Professional
Engineering Services —funds are available in PDCC Undergrounding
Account, No. 854-4256-464-4001.
Upon a motion by Ferguson, second by Spiegel, and 5-0 vote of the Agency Board,
the Consent Calendar was approved as presented.

IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO NEGOTIATE A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BARNHART BALFOUR BEATTY FOR
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $170,400 FOR THE DESERT WILLOW LAKEVIEW TERRACE
AND KITCHEN/BUILDING EXPANSION PROJECTS (CONTRACT
NO. R2945013).
Member Benson moved to, by Minute Motion: 1) Authorize the Executive Director
to negotiate an agreement for professional services with Barnhart Balfour Beatty,
Palm Desert, California, for construction management services for the Desert Willow
Lakeview Terrace and Kitchen/Building Expansion projects in an amount not to exceed
$170,400, and authorize an additional amount not to exceed $3,500 for reimbursable
expenses related thereto; 2) Approve a 10% contingency for the services in the amount of
$17,040 (use of contingency requires additional action); 3) Authorize the Executive Director
to execute the agreement; 4) Appropriate $190,940 from the Unobligated Project Area
No. 2 Fund to Redevelopment Agency (RDA) Post Construction Costs, Account
No. 851-4663-454-4001. Motion was seconded by Spiegel and carried by a 5-0 vote.

Board, Chairman Finerty adjourned the meeting at 4:54 p.m.
