REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD CONTRACT TO EARTH SCULPTURES, INC., IN THE COMBINED TOTAL BID AMOUNT OF $103,409.95 FOR THE DESERT WILLOW LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE CORNER OF DESERT WILLOW DRIVE AND COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE (CONTRACT NO. R29260). Rec: By Minute Motion, authorize: 1) Award of the subject contract for the Desert Willow Landscape Improvements at the corner of Desert Willow Drive and Country Club Drive to Earth Sculptures, Inc., Indio, California, in the combined total bid amount of $103,409.95; 2) Director of Finance to set aside the amount of $10,341 as 10% contingency for the project (use of contingency requires additional action); 3) Chairman to execute Contract No. R29260 - funds are available in the Desert Willow Drive Landscape Upgrades Account (2009-2010), Account No. 851-4388-433-4001.
