XI. OLD BUSINESS
A. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO NEGOTIATE A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE MOST QUALIFIED ARCHITECT
FOR THE DESERT WILLOW KITCHEN AND BUILDING EXPANSION
(CONTRACT NO. R29450A).
Rec: By Minute Motion: 1) Authorize the Executive Director to negotiate
an agreement for professional services with the most qualified
architect for the Desert Willow Kitchen and Building and Expansion
Project, subject to results of the January 25, 2010, interview
process; 2) approve a 10% contingency based on the final contract
amount executed by the Executive Director (use of contingency
requires additional action); 3) authorize the Executive Director to
execute the agreement; 4) appropriate amount from the
Unobligated Project Area No. 2 Fund to RDA Post Construction
Costs, Account No. 851-4663-454-4001, which will be verbally
presented to the Agency Board at the January 28, 2010, meeting.
