I enjoyed watching the fruits of your labor come to fruition. We are now starting to wind down the 2021/2022 growing season. For those of you who plan to leave for the summer and are vacating your plot, please help us by removing all plants, trash, trellises, and structures before you leave. Any plants or items left in the gardens will be disposed of after August 23, 2022. The City is not responsible for any items left behind. Randy/Mike…When do we clean out the plots? If you plan to continue gardening through the summer and do not want to have your garden plot cleaned out, please contact me via email at dthompson@cityofpalmdesert.org no later than July 15, 2022. Please include your name, garden name, and plot number in the email. Staff will place DO NOT DISTURB signs in your plot so that your vegetation is not removed. Please be advised that the gardens will close intermittently in late August/early September to allow for maintenance. Agreements for the 2022/2023 gardening season will be available online at http://www.cityofpalmdesert.org/departments/parks-recreation on September 1, 2022. Plots will be available on a first come first served basis. If you plan to keep the same plot you will need to contact Debbie Thompson via email at dthompson@cityofpalmdesert.org no later than August 15, 2022. Once you make your payment (after September 1, 2022,), you can begin gardening. If we do not hear from you we will make the plot available to others.
