Department of Public Works Application for Grading Permit
TO BE USED FOR ALL LAND ALTERATION, IMPROVMENTS AND FINAL MAPS
THIS FORM IS NOT A PERMIT - NO LAND ALTERATION IS TO BE PERFORMED UNTIL A PERMIT IS ISSUED
From Submittal it will take 4-6 weeks to review plans. Comments will be sent to the engineer
directly. It typically takes 3 to 4 revisions before plans are approved.
All Grading Permit Applicants must prepare a PM10 plan per the SCAQMD guidelines.
Packets for projects less than 10 acres are available at the counter and online.
All Projects larger than (1) acre must prepare a SWPPP plan and file a NOI (submitting proof of payment & mailing).
Plan Check Fees are Due at time of Submittal. Additional Fees Including Inspection Fees, Impact Fees,
Fees, Bonds and Refundable Cash Deposits will be required at permit issuance. You will receive a
summary when your plans are approved by the City Engineer.
