Deputies contacted a 29-year-old male from Cathedral City who displayed obvious signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. Palm Desert Station Significant Incident Report for Friday, May 16, 2025 8:05 AM – Under the Influence Arrest – Deputies responded to a welfare check call for service near the 36000 block of Cook Street in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 29 -year-old male from Cathedral City who displayed obvious signs of being under the influence. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. Deputies contacted a 47 -year-old male from Cathedral City who was known to be on parole. The male upon initial contact attempted to flee from deputies but was quickly apprehended. Due to the males’ actions, he was in violation of the terms of his parole. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 8:45 PM – Domestic Battery Arrest – Deputies responded to the 74000 block of Driftwood Drive in Palm Desert regarding a disturbance. Deputies contacted a 37-year-old female from Palm Desert. Deputies determined the female had instigated a physical altercation with her spouse. The female was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. Palm Desert Station Significant Incident Report for Sunday, May 18, 2025 1:38 AM - Theft Arrest – Deputies responded to a medical aid at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Suncrest, Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 38-year-old male from Moreno Valley. Upon contact with the male, deputies recognized the male as a suspect in a previous theft that occurred on 05/17/25. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 1:34 PM – Trespassing Arrest – Deputies responded to the 72000 block of Highway 111 in Palm Desert regarding a trespasser at the location. Deputies contacted a 51-year-old male from Palm Desert. Deputies determined the male had previously been admonished from the location and told not to return. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. Deputies contacted a 31 -year-old female from Desert Hot Springs. An inquiry of the female’s information showed she had multiple active warrants for her arrest. The female was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 1:37 PM – Theft Arrest – Deputies responded to the 44000 block of Town Center Way in Palm Desert regarding a shoplifter at the location. Deputies arrived and contacted a 39-year-old male from Indio. Deputies determined the male had attempted to steal multiple items from the location. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. Palm Desert Station Significant Incident Report for Tuesday, May 20, 2025 8:24 AM – Warrant Arrest - Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at the intersection of Magnesia Falls and Portola Avenue in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 32-year-old male from Palm Desert. An inquiry of the male’s information showed he had an active warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 9:43 AM – Narcotic Arrest – Deputies responded to the 74000 block of Abronia Trail in Palm Desert regarding a suspicious person. Deputies contacted a 40-year-old female from Cathedral City. The female was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. The female was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 12:20 PM – Narcotics Arrest - Deputies conducted an area check near the 72000 block of Highway 111 in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 43-year-old male from Indio. The male was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 1:05 PM - Embezzlement Arrest - Deputies conducted a follow up investigation regarding an embezzlement that had occurred at a business in the 78000 block of Country Club Drive in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 22-year-old male from Indio. Deputies determined the male had stolen $1,300 in merchandise from the location. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 1:52 PM – Warrant Arrest – Deputies conducted a bike stop at the intersection of Joshua Road and Parkview Drive. Deputies contacted a 31-year-old male from Palm Desert. Deputies conducted a records check of the male and discovered he had multiple outstanding warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 2:23 PM – Warrant Arrest – Deputies conducted an area check near the 72000 block of Highway 111. Deputies contacted a 35-year-old male from Palm Desert. An inquiry of the male’s information showed he had an active warrant for his arrest. Deputies determined a 51-year-old female from Coachella had instigated a physical altercation with her spouse. Deputies contacted the female near the intersection of Gerald Ford Drive and Gateway Drive in Palm Desert. The female was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 5:03 PM - Theft Arrest - Deputies responded to the 44000 block of Town Center Way in Palm Desert regarding a shoplifter in custody. Deputies contacted a 44-year-old male from Thermal. Deputies determined Valencia had stolen multiple items of merchandise from the location. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. Deputies contacted a 26-year-old male from Indio. An inquiry of the male’s information showed he had multiple active warrants for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 10:00 AM – Narcotics Arrest – Deputies conducted an occupied vehicle check near the intersection of Highway 111 and Park View Drive, in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 37 of year-old male from Palm Desert who advised deputies he was on probation. A probation search of the male was conducted, and deputies located illegal narcotics in the male’s possession. The male was arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 10:38 AM – Warrant Arrest – Deputies conducted a vehicle check at the intersection of Park View Drive and Highway 111 in Palm Desert. Deputies contacted a 39-year-old male and a 36- year-old female both from Cathedral City. An inquiry of the male and females’ information showed they both had active warrants for their arrest. Both the male and female were arrested and booked at the county jail in Indio. 12:43 PM – Theft Arrest – Deputies responded to a theft at a business near the 34000 block of Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert.
